"To God Be the Glory"
Fleta R. Robinson
Sometimes my heart hurts. No, not the physical heart that keeps my body functioning, rather my spirit often experiences pain.
I put on a CD of The Covenant Four, a quartet of Christian men in San Francisco, who glorify the Lord with their gifted voices. Wonderful God-honoring music filled our mobile home as I worked.
"To God be the glory, " their riches voices rang out. I was moved to set the broom aside and pick up my pen as they sang “My Tribute” by Andrae Crouch:
How can I say
thanks
For the things you have done for me,
Things so undeserved,
Yet You gave to prove Your love for me . . .
All that I am and ever hope to be,
I owe it all to Thee.
To God be the
glory . . .
For the things He has done . . .
Just let me live
my life,
Let it be pleasing, Lord, to Thee,
And if I gain any praise,
Let it go to Calvary.
With His blood He has saved me,
With His power He has raised me.
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done.
The ache in my spirit was replaced
with praise and worship. I was renewed, refreshed, restored.
"To God be the glory!"
